Historisches Bottrop Borthorpe "das Dorf am Berg" wird 1150 als Siedlung erstmals erwähnt. Aus Borthorpe wird Bortorp und dann Bottrop. Die kreisfreie Großstadt Bottrop liegt im Ruhrgebiet in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Mit rund ca.117.000 Ew ist sie die zweitkleinste kreisfreie Stadt in NRW. 1856 beginnt mit Prosper I die Zeit des Steinkohlebergbaus in Bottrop und endet am 21.12.2018 mit der Schließung des Bergwerks Prosper Haniel. Ein kleiner Rundweg durch den Bottroper Stadtkern über fünf Stationen erwartet Dich.
